Hi friends ..
i guess u all noticed that OUR GROUP SITE GOT MANY FUN SUBJECTS , MUSIC SUB, GAMES , AND INTERTAINMENTS ..
the truth is that this group is making us close together knowing each of our ideas ..
BUT .. its not as we hoped filled with projects and ideas for our college .. i mean lectures attendance and other medical stuff are not very popular subjects .. may be BECAUSE THERES NOT MUCH TO DO AND FEW IDEAS THAT COULD BE APPLIED IN MY OPINION..
So what do u think guys?.. do we need to try more efforts to talk about serious topics?.. or let us just wait for important subjects to impose theirselves ?.. as for me , im having so much fun in here , but i want to c a change in our college and so we do not be carried away with fun.

PS. i suggest we do a full lounge for MEDICAL SUBJECTS .. "not sure" what do u think friends?

i think there is a complete section in this forum 4 the college problems & lectures attendance which can be filled with ur beneficial ideas & projects 2 try 2 do our best 4 our college coz it is ours ...

so u can simply try 2 find the important problems 2 discuss & not only discuss but also u have 2 put some plans 2 acheive the things u r talkin about ...

& then u can simply post it in the section of college problems ...

Thanks for your suggestion, I kindda understand what u'r trying to say here, let me talk to u about my experience with that.

Big Changes means Big Numbers, Big Changes means Big Support, Big Changes means more money all of that is POSSIBLE and DOABLE but in the same time it needs good planing

what I mean by this is that the first step can be made with BCMF the more the site grow, the more members u have, the more change can be made

let's say that there are 1000-2000 medical student in the college now in the whole 6 grades, I'll assume that only 10% of them have access to the internet all the time and with good skills (this means 100-200 student), and let's assume that another 20-30% have access to the public internet sometime (that's 200-400 more students) and the rest have an excess to the internet in a way or another ( the image is not that dark or not that bright I know, but we're talking about a number between 100-600) well that's a huge number

obviously most of the members in the site now are from the same stage, I'm not so sure but it seems to me like that, the way it should work is simply like this:

- if every active member work to (recruit) people that he knows to sign in and take a look on the site, and show him/her some basic facts about how to use the site, this means there will be more people signing in, and those could be potential recruiters in the future, soon the number will grow fast, but remember, this is the FIRST step that should be managed in a smart way, and believe me, you can see the results so qickly, the more it grows, the faster it'll grow, like a chain reaction in scientific language

now let's assume that Step one is done and there is a big number of people signing in, STEP TWO will be :

there will be some subjects that arise and being discussed, and unlike real life, some agreements could be achieved, and those agreements could turn into real actions, when the number of people agreeing on them is huge, there will be something like a petition, where everybody sign on it asking for a change, these suggestions could be taken to the Administration, the Dean, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Higher Education, or even to some International Organizations that shows interest in helping the Medical Education in Iraq (yes they exist but no one know how to approach them correctly) and if they are planing to take an action or spend some money, they need to see numbers and plans, (i.e. 500 hundred students saying so, not 30 students suggesting so... ) people who can make a change love to see numbers and plans, this site is a way to create these numbers and to develop these plans

oh Gosh I've been saying too much, I wonder if people will read all my blablabla
but it's a real suggestion here, think about it, give it a shot,

well Mohammes,although i think u wrote alot and inspite of u call it BLABLABLA but u know something..u r right in what u r saying and i think it's time for us all to get up and advise as much as students we can to use the site (in a proper way offcourse!!!) and to show them the benifite ot comunicating with friend, and what i really hope is to TRY to do a change, even if small to make this country better and better,although its difficult but as u know ; ONE HAND CAN NOT CLAP ;so lets try to put our hands together.

Thank you dear Mohammed, you just said what I would have, but in a better way of course, after all you have a wonderful experience with forums and online communities.

And I wanted to add something to Ghayath, have u asked your self why? I mean u (and some other friends) are somehow blaming the site for turning into fun rather than solutions, have u asked yourselves who is doing so? IT'S US, THE MEMBERS.
Few are those who are really interested in talking about those problems and sincerely try to find solutions, and when a solution is suggested, it doesn't get much support.

What I've seen is that people are soo good at talking, but when it comes to actions, they just hesitate, and another problem is that we set really wonderful goals, but not achievable ones.

Anyway, Mohammed, what u said is never bla bla bla, it's just the proper way, and I hope we'll get support from our dear members.

Well Gayath, nice start. But if you read my topic " if you had the chace" I actually asked you ur opinion concerning your suggestion of having a painting campaign...
I didn't find a reply from you!!!

I think whoever suggests something and really wants change...need to real what others write too and listen...then reflect and discuss together to continue on and talk!!!!

Nice points Mohammed, and thanx for bringing ideas together.
All what you said is right...now I suggest that we have a place for projects!???

We have interested members, or at least members who are posting in places where we need change and difference, but would those members and would we ourselves go into a project step and talk about action!????

Most of our problems are concerned with real big changes like our educational system, or need anual money support for the college renewal...and as Mohammed said it needs big people to support us like Dean, Ministry or International organization...we also can put in our minds..our local organizations some good ones some of us might know.

I think we can put a place for projects, and introduction for a plan then we can put time limit, and then conclusions......

We can submit a plan for our action, then we have suggestions on it for a time limit like week then we have a conclusion we all agree on....or some majority of us...
or even we divide into groups for action....each group accept on certain suggestion on how to work and make projects real....

Then...we can start on the ideas we all talked about!!! Like Gardens topic...painting topic, lectures topic....ALL.

waw, it's good the you all have a vivid imagination, u responded better than I expected, at least there is a hope that a change is possible, well guys, I know and I can support, and I can show u ways of how to work on these projects, I can even help u drafting a project plan and guide u to some sponsors who may give u support, all what I'm asking for is a good network, and big numbers, work together to provide this, and I'll help with the rest of it, even I admit that the current number of members is good as a starting thing, but in the same time I will tell u than nobody will support a project or an idea which is talking about 20 or even 40 students, the number should be at least with three digits, which means hundreds, a thousand will be great, more than that will be fascinating, try to gather more member more members and keep the site as a place for fun, cause no one will stick to it if it's a boring place

well . mohammed we can do it in a quick way .. that we the ppl here suggest things and then by the itti7ad al 6alaba ... we can publish our plan in the college .. and then there we do petition for our projects ..
that's a more realistic way ... i mean at that time we won't just depend on a site ..it will be real .. in the college ..

I think this site will be much more popular once we start going to college and meet each other and use other ways of reaching all students like as you may know, I write lectures and so I can do some publicity for the site and what we’re thinking of in the photocopied lectures. I also think that once we start working and students see our work they will be interested and we’ll have even more supporters and then we can do like Mohamed said, it would be great to have support from another organization.

I think what we need to do is to write down all the problems-solutions that we talked about and we sort them according to their importance and practicability or maybe we vote on them to see which problem do students want to work on solving it.
