Hello Guys
Many of you have heard about the musical epic "The Phantom of The Opera" (if not check about it HERE ), anyway, it's a great story that has been played on Broadway stages for years and years with great success, many movies were filmed too.
The strength lies within the powerful human emotions colliding and many of the songs represent actual conversations between the characters of the movie.
Hope you'll enjoy them... bcmf/60.gif

I brought you links to 5 of its songs: (right click -> save target as)
The Phantom of The Opera
Masquerade
Music of The Night
Learn to be Lonely (my favorite bcmf/coolthumb.gif)
The Point of No Return

And here are the lyrics:

Phantom Of The Opera
Christine:
In sleep he sang to me,
In dreams he came.
That voice which calls to me,
And speaks my name
And do I dream again?
For now I find,
The Phantom of the Opera is there,
Inside my mind

Phantom:
Sing once again with me,
Our strange duet.
My power over you,
Grows stronger yet.
And though you turn from me,
To glance behind.
The Phantom of the Opera is there,
Inside your mind.

Christine:
Those who have seen your face,
Draw back in fear.
I am the mask you wear.

Phantom:
It's me they hear.

Both:
Your/my spirit and my/your voice,
In one combined.
The Phantom of the Opera is here/there
Inside your/my mind/heart.

Offstage:
He's there, the Phantom of the Opera!
Beware, The Phantom of The Opera!

Phantom:
In all your fantasies
you always knew
that man and mystery

Christine:
Were both in you

Both:
and in this labyrinth
where night is blind
the phantom of the opera is there/here
inside your/my mind/heart.

Phantom:
Sing my Angel of Music

Christine:
He's there, The Phantom of the Opera!
(Vocalizing)

Phantom:
Sing!

Christine:
(Vocalizing higher)

Phantom:
Sing for me!

Christine:
(Vocalizing higher)

Phantom:
Sing my angel of music!

Christine:
(Sings higher)

Phantom:
SING FOR ME!

Phantom:
I have brought you,
To the seat of sweet music's throne.
To this kingdom where all must pay homage to music,
Music.
You have come here.
For one purpose and one alone.
Since the moment I first heard you sing,
I have needed you with me to serve me, to sing,
For my music.
My music

Masquerade
Firmin: (Spoken)
Monsieur Andre!

Andre: (Spoken)
Monsieur Firmin!

Firmin:
Dear Andre, what a splendid party

Andre:
The prelude to a bright new year

Firmin:
Quite a night, I'm impressed

Andre:
Well, one does one's best

Andre and Firmin:
Here's to us

Andre:
A toast for the city!

Firmin:
What a pity that the Phantom can't be here!

Chorus/Crowd:
Masquerade! /Paper faces on parade/Masquerade! /Hide your face so the world will never find you/Masquerade! /Every face a different shade/Masquerade! /Look around, there's another mask behind you.

Flash of mauve/Splash of puce/Fool and king/Ghoul and goose/Green and black/Queen and priest/Trace of rouge/Face of beast/Faces!/Take your turn, take a ride/On the merry-go-round/in an inhuman race/Eye of gold/True is false/Who is who?/Curl of lip/Swirl of gown/Ace of hearts/Face of clown/Faces!/Drink it in, drink it up/Till you've drowned/In the light/In the sound/But who can name the face?

Masquerade! /Grinning yellows, spinning reds/Masquerade! /Take your fill, let the spectacle astound you/Masquerade! /Burning glances, turning heads/Masquerade!/Stop and stare at the sea of smiles around you/Masquerade!/Seething shadows breathing lies/Masquerade!/You can fool any friend who ever knew you/Masquerade!/Leering satyrs, peering eyes/Masquerade!/Run and hide, but a face will still pursue you.

CARLOTTA:
What a night!

Firmin
What a crowd!

Andre:
Makes you glad

FIRMIN
Makes you proud! All the crème, De la crème

MADAME GIRY: (Overlapping)
Watching us….

MEG (Overlapping)
Watching them

CARLOTTA: (Overlapping)
All our fears are in the past

Andre:
Three months

Piangi:
Of relief!

Carlotta:
Of delight!

Andre
Of Elysian peace!

PIANGI
And we can breathe at last.

Carlotta:
No more notes

Piangi:
No more ghost

Madame Giry:
Here's a health

Andre
Here's a toast, to a prosperous year

Firmin:
To our friends who are here

Piangi and Carlotta:
And may the splendor never fade!

Firmin/Andre:
What a blessed release!

Madame Giry:
And what a masquerade!

Christine:
Think of it
(Spoken)
A secret engagement. Look, your future bride. Just think of it.

Raoul: (Spoken)
But, why is it secret? What have we to hide? You promised me.

Christine: (Spoken)
No, Raoul, please don't, they'll see.

Raoul: (Spoken)
Well then let them see. It's an engagement, not a crime.
(Sung)
Christine, what are you afraid of?

Christine(and Raoul in parenthesis):
Let's not argue(Let's not argue)/Please pretend (I can only hope)/You will understand in time (I'll understand in time)

Chorus/Crowd:
Masquerade!/Paper faces on parade/Masquerade!/Hide your face so the world will never find you/Masquerade!/Every face a different shade/Masquerade!/Look around, there's another mask behind you/Masquerade!/Burning glances, turning heads/Masquerade!/Stop and stare at the sea of smiles around you/Masquerade!/Grinning yellows, Spinning reds/Masquerade!/Take your fill, let the spectacle astound you.

Phantom:
Why so silent, good Messieurs?/Did you think that I had left you for good?/Have you missed me, good Messieurs?/I have written you an opera./Here, I bring the finished score./Don Juan Triumphant!/Fondest greetings to you all/A few instructions just before rehearsal starts/Carlotta must be taught to act/Not her normal trick of strutting round the stage/Our Don Juan must lose some weight/It's not healthy in a man of Piangi's age/And my managers must learn that their place is in an office/Not the arts/As for our star, Miss Christine Daae...

No doubt she'll do her best/It's true, her voice is good/She knows, though/Should she wish to excell/She has much still to learn/If pride will let her return to me, her teacher/Her teacher...

Phantom:
Your chains are still mine,
(spoken)
You belong to me!

Music Of The Night
Night-time sharpens; Heightens each sensation.
Darkness stirs, and wakes imagination.
Silently the senses abandon their defenses

Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendor.
Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender.
Turn your face away
From the garish light of day
Turn your thoughts away from cold unfeeling light
And listen to the music of the night

Close your eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams
Purge your thoughts of the life you knew before
Close your eyes let your spirit start
To Soar
And you’ll live as you’ve never lived before...

Softly, deftly, music shall caress you
Hear it, feel it, secretly posses you
Open up your mind, let your fantasies unwind, in this darkness that you know
You cannot fight
The darkness of the music of the night

Let your mind start a journey through a strange new world
Leave all thoughts of the life you knew before
Let your soul take you where you long to be
Only then can you belong to me...

Floating, falling, sweet intoxication,
Touch me, trust me, savor each sensation.
Let the dream begin, let your darker side give in
To the power of the music that I write,
The power of the music of the night!

You alone can make my song take flight,
Help me make the music of the night...

Learn To Be Lonely
Child of the wilderness
Born into emptiness
Learn to be lonely
Learn to find your way in darkness
Who will be there for you,
comfort and care for you?
Learn to be lonely
Learn to be your one companion
Never dreamed out in the world
There are arms to hold you
You've always known
Your heart was on its own
So laugh in your loneliness
Child of the wilderness
Learn to be lonely
Learn how to love life that is lived alone
Learn to be lonely
life can be lived
life can be loved
Alone.

Past The Point Of No Return
PHANTOM: Passarino - Go away for the trap it is set and waits for its prey.

You have come here
In pursuit of your deepest urge
In pursuit of that wish which till now
Has been silent
Silent.

I have brought you
that our passions may fuse and merge
In your mind you've already succumbed to me, dropped all defenses
Completely succumbed to me
Now you are here with me
No second thoughts
You've decided
Decided.

Past the point of no return
No backward glances
Our games of make-believe are at an end.

Past all thought of “if” or “when”
No use resisting
Abandon thought and let the dream descend

What raging FIRE shall flood the soul
What rich desire unlocks its door
What sweet seduction lies before us?

Past the point of no return
The final threshold
What warm unspoken secrets
Will we learn
beyond the point of no return?

CHRISTINE: You have brought me
To that moment when words run dry
To that moment when speech disappears
Into silence
Silence.

I have come here,
Hardly knowing the reason why
In my mind I've already imagined
Our bodies entwining
Defenseless and silent,
Now I am here with you
No second thoughts
I've decided
Decided.

Past the point of no return
No going back now
Our passion-play has now at last begun.

Past all thought of right or wrong
One final question
How long should we two wait before we're one?

When will the blood begin to race
The sleeping bud burst into bloom
When will the flames at last CONSUME us?

BOTH: Past the point of no return
The final threshold
The bridge is crossed
So stand and watch it burn
We've passed the point of no return.

PHANTOM:(soft and sort of saddened) Say you'll share with me
One love, one lifetime
Lead me, save me from my solitude

Say you want me
With you here
Beside you
Anywhere you go
Let me go too
Christine that's all I ask of…
(Christine tears the mask, showing his face to the audience)

PHANTOM:(looks at her sadly, then pushes one lever that causes the chandaleir to fall and the other lever with foot and they fall through a trap door!)
