Hi everyone ....

The following were the slides of our exam (1st course exam)...it has been a long time so I'll try my best to remember them (Tedallal Ali Adil bcmf/60.gif )

Note1: Some slides were associated with some info to help us in diagnosis and others were shown only with no comments.
Note2: I don't remember the whole answers so (….) means you have to continue.

1. A slide showing a large baby (5.2 kg birth wt.)
Give the cause and 2 complications
Answer: baby of a diabetic mother…

2. A slide showing a child's face
Give the diagnosis.
Answer: Facial Nerve Pulsy

3. A slide of 2 parts , one part showing the palm and the 2nd showing the foot of a baby
Give 2 abnormal signs and give the most probable diagnosis
Answer: single palmer crease in the palm and wide space between the big and the 2nd toe in the foot, Down's Syndrome

4. A slide showing the head of a baby
Give a diagnosis with 2 causes
Answer: Hydrocephalus....

5. A slide showing a baby
Give 2 abnormal findings and 2 causes
Answer: wasted muscles of the thigh…
Protein energy malnutrition…

6. A slide showing the mouth of a child
Give 1 finding with 1 cause
Answer: Gum Hypertrophy…

7. An x-ray showing a skull of a baby
Give 2 findings and 1 cause
Answer: wide suture separation…
Hydrocephalus

8. An x-ray showing the wrist
Give 2 findings and the most probable diagnosis
Answer: cupped lower ends of radius and ulna, decrease bone density
Rickets

9. A slide showing the face of a baby showing bossing (had a history of hepato-spleenomegaly and repeated blood transfusion since early infancy)
Give the most probable diagnosis and 2 investigations to confirm it
Answer: B Thalassemia major, CBP and Hb electrophoresis

10. A slide showing the face of a child (his eyes were red and had a history of repeated spasmodic cough)
Give 1 abnormal finding and diagnosis
Answer: subconjunctival hemorrhage, Whooping cough

hi sixth gradees,
today we had the pedo exam and thanks to zaid and ali mohamed shehab for their assistant everything they said was correct ,
and as it is my turn to pay it forward so here are the slides of today.

1.a- what are u seeing it the slid describe it.(cephalohematoma)
b- mention one complication.(hemolysis and jaundice)

2. hx:of a rash and three times of fit waht is the dx(meningococal infection)

3.a-what is the describtion of this x-ray and mentioning that he had deficulty in eating and repeated chest inf. (cardiomegaly)
b-mention 2 causes (vsd ,asd)

4. kid with sever diarrhea and distended abdomen mention
a- mention 2 causes (celiac , cyctic fibrosis)
b- 2 dxic tests(sweat and anti glidin )

5. a-what are the x-ray finding (multiple air fluid level)
b- 2 causes(hershiprung and meconium ileus)

6.mental retarded and hepatomegaly
mention 2 causes (galactosemia, and glycogen sorage dis.)

7. jaundice and sleeping all the time
what is the dx(hypothyroidism)

8. abdominal pain and rash
what is the dx(henoshonlen purpura)

9.a-what is the dx?(cataract)
b- mention 2 causes(rubella infection, and down)

10.a-what is the dx( am not sure of this their was periorbital bruise so i wrote bruise and oedema)
b-mention 2 causes( batterd baby and pretrem)
